12 local plastic-free and zero-waste gifts for Christmas | Localizz Hong Kong

PUBLISHED on 20 December 2019. A ‘list-ticle’ that I had written for Localiiz Hong Kong suggesting sustainable Christmas gift ideas that came in plastic-free and sustainable packaging, as well being made locally in Hong Kong. I wrote about the importance of supporting small local sellers in your area and why you should during the festive season. I also briefly mentioned the environmental impacts of plastic waste and the excessive carbon footprints it takes to order things online out of Hong Kong. I made sure to have a good mix of tangible and ‘experience’ gifts that would fit those on a budget. I had added some DIY ideas for those who would like to give more personal gifts to friends and family. I hoped that this article would help those live more sustainably - for the ones who are just starting out or who wanted some inspiration for gift giving!
